What is covered under this warranty? (Effective September 2005)
All warranty work is based on service at our On-The-Spot service center only, any onsite service is charged at $65 per hour
1. Limited 1 year warranty on Individual Components when sold as a complete
system: ASUS motherboards, video cards, network cards, modems, RAM, CPU’s, Hard
Drives are warranted by Lifetime Computers Inc. for a period of 1 year against
manufacturing or workmanship defects. All components sold separately have a
limited 1 year warranty or as specified. See our 3 YEAR WARRANTY/LIFETIME
GUARANTEE for $199 below
2. 1 Year warranty on Labour, Service, Software, and Technical Support.
Lifetime Computers Inc. will never create
a charge for Labour or Service to your computer according to this warranty
statement.
3. Lifetime Computers Inc. must perform all warranty work. Parts or Labour
charges outside of Lifetime Computers Inc. are not covered.
4. Limited 90 Day warranty on all consumable items: batteries, fans, cables,
wires and carrying cases.
5. Limited 1 Year warranty on all external components: Mice, Keyboards,
Microphones, Speakers, Power Supplies, Optical Drives and Floppy Drives.
6. Warranties on Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Cameras, Tape drives, Monitors
and other peripherals are warranted by their associated manufacturer. See
information contained with each unit.
7. MONITOR warranties are covered by the manufacturer as specified on the
registration card enclosed with each unit. Your Warranty covers return or
replacement with shipping costs paid by the customer as per “OBLIGATION OF THE
ORIGINAL OWNER” agreement enclosed with each monitor. Lifetime Computers Inc.
will offer a loaner to their customers on receipt of a refundable deposit of
$75.

3 Years (In-The-Tower) Warranty:
All parts and components related to the power train of the computer. Motherboard, RAM, PCI Cards (Network, Modem, Sound, etc.), Video Card, Hard Drives, Floppy Drives, Memory Card readers, Optical drives (CDRoms, CDRW, DVD, DVD/RW, Combo Drives, etc), power supply, all fans and associated wires and connectors.
"LIFETIME" on Labour: (competitor charge after 1 or 2 year labour warranty: $50 to $75/Hour)
Any time your computer is not running properly there will be extensive testing to try to find the problem, be it hardware or software. This Labour is FREE for a long as you own the computer.
"LIFETIME" on Software Programs: (competitor charge: $65 to $145)
When the problem becomes the operating system or programs (those purchased with your system) you have loaded on your computer and it becomes necessary to reload, then this labour is FREE for as long as you own you computer.
"LIFETIME" on Servicing: (competitor charge: $50 to $75)
Dernier's Lifetime Computers recommends you bring in your computer in at least once per year for a FREE service checkup. This will include blowing out all the dust, checking all the fans, tuning up your windows operating environment, checking all your software including your virus program. This is done FREE of charge for as long as you own your computer.

25. On-Site service, pickup and delivery, or any work performed outside our
office regardless of whether it was installed at your site originally or not.
Limitations
1. Hardware Product must be purchased from Lifetime Computers Inc..
2. This warranty is not transferable.
3. Sales receipt is required as proof of purchase.
4. Our authorized service technicians must install any computer components. Any
damages caused by an unauthorized person during installation could void the
warranty.
5. Lifetime Computers Inc. does not offer any money back guarantee on any
product.
Warranty Replacement & Servicing
1. During the warranty period, if a problem develops, call our free Technical
Support, and one of our Technical Support Engineers will ask you to perform a
series of tests to determine whether it is a Hardware or Software problem. If
found to be hardware related Lifetime Computers Inc. will repair or replace any
defective components with new parts, or with serviceable used parts that are
equivalent in value and in performance. If the defective component is obsolete
Lifetime Computers Inc. will offer an upgraded component with a fair market
value credit for the defective unit. All defective parts will become the
property of Lifetime Computers Inc..
2. You can help us to provide you faster service by having all of your
information ready before calling our technical support engineers. Failure to
provide your invoice number could result in the denial of technical support.
3. To request Warranty service, you must contact Lifetime Computers Inc.
technical support within the warranty period.
4. Lifetime Computers Inc. does not provide support for products purchased
from third party vendors.
5. Lifetime Computers Inc. technical support does not provide software
tutoring.
Hardware Problem
1. Customers have the choice of dropping the machine off, or shipping the
machine in. Prior to returning product(s) to Lifetime Computers Inc. for
warranty service, you should obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
number from Lifetime Computers Inc. by calling the Technical Support line. An
original invoice will be required as proof of purchase.
2. Customers must ship the product to Lifetime Computers Inc. in the original
packaging, prepaid and insured by the customer, with the RMA number clearly
identified on the packaging. The product will be returned freight paid by the
customer. In the event of product loss or damage during shipping, the customer
is responsible for insurance both ways.
3. In the event the customer wishes their machine to be returned with
insurance there will be a charge of 3% of insured value included when the
product is shipped back. If the customer waives the right for insurance, then
they herein accept any responsibility for any product loss or damage during
shipping. No shipping charges are refundable.
4. If Lifetime Computers Inc. replaces a product, its warranty term is not
extended. The warranty period will be calculated by using the date from the
original purchase date on the customers' invoice.
Software Problem
1. Problems related to user installed software is not covered by Lifetime
Computers Inc.. Any software loss or corruption is not the responsibility of
Lifetime Computers Inc..
2. It is recommended that a complete system backup be performed immediately
after your computer has been setup. Downtime due to proper system backup not
being performed is not Lifetime Computers Inc. responsibility.
3. Telephone support and technical support for the installation, configuration
and using of the preinstalled software is part of our LIFETIME SUPPORT WARRANTY
and is for as long as you own this computer. Lifetime Computers Inc. is not
responsible for any data loss whatsoever.
Chargeable Service & Rate
1. Non-Warranty coverage Bench Charge - Hourly Labour Rate $50.00 (Maximum
charge per incident $200.00).
2. Non Warranty coverage On Site Charge - Hourly Labour Rate $65.00 (Labour
and Traveling Charge)
3. Correction of customer installed hardware that was not part of original
system purchase.
4. Return of defective parts to manufacturer:
1. On complete Systems and Eurocom Laptops: shipping charges and insurance are the responsibility of the customer after the first year.
2. On all
individual hardware components: shipping charges and insurance are the
responsibility of the customer.
5. Any added hardware that was not part of factory installed is not covered by
this warranty. If the added hardware is found to be causing the problem, these
components will be removed, service time will be charged and warranty may be
VOID if damage is found.
6. Data backups, saves, transfers etc. are chargeable at our On-The Spot
Service desk.
Company Policies and Procedures
1. All computers, parts & components MUST be paid for 100% before leaving our
shop. Sorry, NO PO’s or Credit.
2. A deposit is required on all systems and special orders.
3. Prices are subject to change without notice and quotations are only good
for the day of issue. We accept cash, cheques (with picture ID and credit card),
Debit, Visa & MasterCard.
4. There is a $25 service charge for NSF cheques regardless of the reason.
5. Under the rare circumstance that we do accept a return, it will be for a
company credit only.
6. Our service is the best available on the market however “ON DEMAND” service
is impossible. We always follow our in shop procedures and priorities.
7. Please do your own backups and data recovery. Under no circumstances
(either expressed verbally or otherwise) are we responsible for your data.
8. If you are experiencing difficulty with your computer please remember that
we did not personally or intentionally cause the problems you are having. 95% of
all problems are caused by the software installed in computers. Please be
patient and we will work with you to help solve them in any way we can.
Limitation of Remedy
Lifetime Computers Inc. IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE USE OR THE
FAILURE OF THE PRODUCT TO PERFORM, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS,
INCIDENTAL DAMAGE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER
DAMAGES ARE SOUGHT, OR A CLAIM MADE. THIS LIMITATION CANNOT BE WAIVED. EXCEPT AS
EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY, Lifetime Computers Inc. MAKES NO OTHER
WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. SERVICE CHARGES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT
NOTICE. Lifetime Computers Inc. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS OR
CHANGES TO THIS DOCUMENT AND THE PROCEDURES AND POLICIES MENTIONED HEREIN AT ANY
TIME WITHOUT NOTICE OR OBLIGATION.
